How the numbers work
Odds conversion
American +150, decimal 2.50 and fractional 3/2 all describe the same price: $1.50 potential profit per $1 staked. At −110, you would stake $110 to win $100 profit.
Profit and payout
A $100 stake at +150 has $150 potential profit and a $250 total payout if it wins. At −110, the same stake has $90.91 potential profit and a $190.91 payout.
Profit = stake × (decimal odds − 1). Payout = stake × decimal odds. Implied probability = 100 ÷ decimal odds.

Betting odds calculator questions
How do I calculate a betting payout?
Multiply your stake by the decimal odds. A $100 stake at 2.50 pays $250 if it wins. Subtract the $100 stake to get $150 profit.
What do positive and negative American odds mean?
+150 means $150 potential profit from a $100 stake. −150 means you would stake $150 to win $100 profit. The calculator scales those returns to the stake you enter.
Is implied probability the chance my bet will win?
It is the probability represented by the quoted price, including the sportsbook’s pricing margin. It is not an independent forecast. Use the no-vig calculator to normalize a complete market, then compare your fair estimate with the offered price.
Does total payout include my stake?
Yes. Total payout is the returned stake plus profit on a winning cash bet. This calculator uses the entered price and stake before fees or deductions.
